Stays, ca 1790 England or France, the V&A Museum
These are interesting because they’re right in the middle of the transition from rigid, mono-boobed 18th century stays to the softer ones worn in the early 19th century. Those odd tabs hanging off the back may have functioned as a miniature bustle.

Women’s jacket and vest, ca 1790, Musée des Tissus de Lyon
Silk embroidered jacket at KCI, c. 1790
Believe it or not, the first two photos are a reproduction of the extant jacket, which is pictured in the bottom photo, by Reine des Centfeuilles. Stunning!
Jacket, ca 1790 France, KCI
The British lifestyle of enjoying rural life and hunting in natural surroundings also became popular in France, and the clothes became more simplified in and after the 1770s. “Redingotes,” or riding coat, which had been popular among men for horse riding or traveling, influenced women’s clothes, resulting in sophisticated jackets like this.
