As I’ve mentioned before, a banyan is a loose, comfortable coat worn by men while at home.

This style of banyan takes inspiration from China and Japan and is not as fitted as the Indian style I posted a little bit ago.

This is an awful angle but try to appreciate the gorgeous fabric, especially on those sleeves.
I know this is a blog about western fashion but seriously these are the craziest lotus shoes I’ve ever seen and I had to share them. They HAD to have been for sitting around. I refuse to believe that anyone (even with bound feet) could walk in them.
